Nishi-Shinjuku Consortium for Advanced Service Implementation, Industry-Government-Academia Consortium" Call for Applications for the Advanced Service Implementation Subcommittee Project
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting initiatives for urban implementation of services utilizing cutting-edge technologies in Nishi-Shinjuku, an area of Smart Tokyo prior implementation. Last fiscal year, the "Nishi-Shinjuku Consortium for Advanced Service Implementation in Industry, Government and Academia" was established with the participation of a wide variety of entities, including businesses and universities, and five subcommittee projects were launched under different themes.
This year, in order to further expand these efforts, we are calling for subcommittee projects that aim at urban implementation under new themes.
1 Subcommittee Project Overview
A subcommittee project consists of several projects to be implemented by a representative ("subcommittee leader") and participants (subcommittee project members). The subcommittee leader will receive support from the project promoter commissioned by the TMG for project implementation costs and other expenses.

2 Details of the recruitment
Subcommittee projects that contribute to solving social issues by utilizing cutting-edge technology in the Nishi-Shinjuku area as a field are invited.
- (1) Advanced Service City Implementation Project
Target :Private companies
Target: To achieve urban implementation (services are regularly and routinely provided in the Nishi-Shinjuku area, and many Tokyo residents experience them in their daily lives, with a high probability of business establishment) by the end of FY2024,

Maximum support cost: 70 million yen (total for 2 years, including tax)
Number of projects selected: Approximately 2
- (2) University-Launched Advanced Technology Development Project
Target: Universities or university-launched venture companies
Target: To realize the service in the Nishi-Shinjuku area by 2024, with a view to future implementation in the city,
The service will be realized in the Nishi-Shinjuku area by 2024, with a view to its future implementation in the city, and a certain number of related parties and Tokyo residents will have experienced it as monitors.
Maximum support cost: 50 million yen (total for two years, including tax)
Number of projects selected: Approximately 1
3 Schedule
Application period: July 3 (Mon.) to July 24 (Mon.), 2023 (noon)
First screening (documents): July 24 to early August 2023 (if there are too many applications)
Second round of screening (presentation): Early August to mid-August 2023 (presentation screening takes about 30 minutes)
Notification of adoption results: Mid-August to late August 2023
Project period: From the time of adoption to March 31, 2025
*Continuation review will be conducted around the end of FY2023.
4 How to apply
For this call for proposals, subcommittee leaders are requested to prepare a proposal describing the implementation structure, project contents, implementation schedule, etc., by the end of the application period.
