DNP will hold an "Art Appreciation Experience with Subtitling Glasses" at an outdoor public art gallery.

(Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshinari Kitajima) will hold a hands-on event to experience the subtitling glasses (smart glasses) developed as part of the activities of the "Universal Communication Subcommittee Using Advanced Technology" (hereinafter "Universal Communication Subcommittee"), of which it is the president. The event will be held on January 27 (Sat.), 28 (Sun.), February 3 (Sat.), and 4 (Sun.), 2024, in the form of a "viewing tour with commentary" of public artworks installed in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Tomin Hiroba (People's Square) and Fureai Mall.

Subtitling glasses are smart glasses that display subtitles in the form of the guide's voice as he or she provides commentary on the artworks. Based on the experience held at the SOMPO Museum of Art (indoors) last December, this time we will verify that subtitles are displayed in the same way outdoors where there is environmental noise (*). The Universal Communication Subcommittee aims to create a society where more and more people, regardless of disability, generation, or nationality, can enjoy themselves together in the same way, and we are looking for people who can participate in this trial session and cooperate in the questionnaire evaluation.
