Inauguration Ceremony of "Nishi-Shinjuku Advanced Service Implementation/Industry-Government-Academia Consortium" was held!
In Nishi-Shinjuku, a Smart Tokyo Advanced Implementation Area, we are promoting initiatives for urban implementation of cross-sectoral services for urban development and work styles, etc., utilizing 5G and advanced technologies.
On Friday, September 16, we held the inauguration ceremony of the "Nishi-Shinjuku Advanced Service Implementation Industry-Government-Academia Consortium" (hereinafter referred to as the "Consortium"), the establishment of which was announced recently. The inauguration ceremony of the Consortium was held on Friday, September 16.

The purpose of this inauguration ceremony was to bring together the businesses that have gathered in Nishi-Shinjuku with the goal of "implementation of services" and to clarify the specific initiatives of the consortium, so that they can share a common understanding of the future image of Nishi-Shinjuku with the implementation of services and unify the thoughts of the people involved in the consortium. The event was held at the Corona Disaster. Since the meeting was held at the Corona Disaster, it was conducted in a hybrid format of on-site and online.
Mr. Murakami of the Shinjuku Fukutoshin Area Environmental Improvement Committee (hereinafter referred to as "ERI MANE"), which serves as the Consortium's secretariat along with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, moderated the event. Each company gave an enthusiastic presentation, which made us very excited about the future of Nishi-Shinjuku!
Demonstration Experience
In addition, a demonstration of feeler control technology was conducted by MotionLib Corporation, a representative of the "Subcommittee for the Study of Means to Solve Social Issues Using Feeler Control Technology," and Director Kobayashi of ELIMANE, Vice Governor Miyasaka of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and Director Kuga of the Digital Services Bureau actually experienced the feeler control technology.
This technology allows users to simulate the sensation of "grasping a sponge" or "grabbing a marble" with something like a magic hand, making it feel as if they are really touching the object!
Using this technology, we are planning to hold a "Touchable AR Zoo" in Nishi-Shinjuku this fiscal year, where visitors can touch animals in a simulated manner. Please look forward to it, everyone!

Finally, Mr. Kobayashi, Director of ERI MANE, expressed his "expectations for the Consortium" on behalf of the community.
