(1) Onomatopoeia experience while watching video: approx. 10 min.

Anyone can participate.

(2) Experience onomatopoeia while walking in the park: approx. 30 min.

*First 8 people to register for both morning and afternoon sessions on 2/14 and 2/15, respectively.
*The tour will depart at 11:00 and 14:30. Please gather at the reception desk 20 minutes prior to departure.
 The tour may depart earlier as soon as it is ready.
*If the tour is cancelled due to rain, snow, or other inclement weather, it will be announced in the " What's New" section of the Nishi-Shinjuku Advanced Service Implementation/Industry-Government-Academia Consortium website.

 (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshinari Kitajima), the representative of the "Universal Communication Subcommittee Using Advanced Technology" (hereinafter "Universal Communication Subcommittee") in its activities, has developed a function to display ambient sounds, etc. in text as onomatopoeia and mimetic words in subtitle display glasses (smart glasses). (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshinari Kitajima) has developed a function to display ambient sounds and other onomatopoeic and mimetic words as text on the titling glasses (smart glasses).
 The subtitling glasses are smart glasses that display voices as subtitles. In addition to the recognition and subtitling of human speech, the onomatopoeic version of the subtitling glasses displays 10 types of onomatopoeic and onomatopoeic words, including ambulance sirens, pedestrian crossing guidance sounds, nature sounds such as flowing water and falling leaves, and animal noises such as dogs and cats, using emotion expression fonts.

 A hands-on experience session to verify the usefulness and issues of this function will be held mainly for hearing-impaired people. (Reservations required)
