Taisei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshiro Aikawa) is leading the Nishi-Shinjuku "Thin Digital Twin Project" as an initiative of the "Digital Twin Subcommittee for Creating and Implementing Urban Services" in the "Nishi-Shinjuku Advanced Service Implementation Industry-Government-Academia Consortium. The project is promoting the development and provision of city planning tools equipped with digital twin construction, planning and simulation functions.
The "thin digital twin" is a groundbreaking service that contributes to the discovery and solution of urban issues by reproducing real urban space in virtual space and combining various simulation and planning functions. By combining digital technology with construction and urban development expertise, the service is expected to propose more efficient urban development and facility management to those involved in urban planning, thereby contributing to sustainable urban development.
